The mission of the library of the Agricultural University of Georgia is to promote teaching and research at the university.

The library holdings include 1,500,000 unique printed editions, of which 100,000 are in active circulation or otherwise available, including a collection of 50,000 rare books the nature and value of which the library plans to make known by staging regular exhibitions.

In addition to scientific books and periodicals, the library offers printed and electronic versions of textbooks necessary for teaching and research.   For this purpose, an electronic library has been created on the university intranet.

The university library, which is a member of Georgian Library Consortium, is being thoroughly renovated as a 21st century resource for students, faculty, researchers, and staff.  To ensure that students’ needs are met, students are playing an active role in the renovation design.

The library provides access to important international electronic databases such as:.

  • Royal Society Journals Collection – An electronic database of Great Britain National Academic Society.  .
